One of the significant issues in our sector is the disposal of empty agricultural pesticide packaging and expired pesticides. Expired pesticides, which have reached the end of their shelf life, should never be used. Empty pesticide packaging should also never be reused for any purpose, nor should its use be allowed. These empty pesticide containers must not be discarded into the environment, waterways, sewers, lakes, rivers, or the sea, nor should they be carelessly buried in the soil. These containers should be disposed of in designated collection bins labeled “Pesticide Packaging Collection Barrels,” which have been set up by organizations. It is essential to understand that these containers are being recycled or recovered through methods like reuse, recycling, or energy recovery, contributing to the economy.

Manufacturers, farmers, or distributors must be aware that they should use their pesticides before the expiration date. Expired pesticides, also known as out-of-date products, should never be used or sold. These products should be returned to the “Agricultural Pesticide Dealer.” Distributors, in turn, should return expired pesticides to the manufacturing company from which they purchased them. This is because pesticide manufacturers know the proper procedures for dealing with expired products.
